Lions Club Calvia
WHO ARE THE LIONS
Costa de Calvia Lions Club, was formed in 1968 and originally was based in Son Armadans in Palma with a membership of over 40 members.
After a few years it was decided to move to Palmanova and shortly afterwards opened one of the first Charity Shops on the island, in Palmanova. We now have 2 more shops. One of our original members Uschi Berndt a long serving Lion and volunteer can still be found working in our shop.
Over the last 37 years Lions have been serving all nationalities who are lonely, needy and ill, locally, and in different parts of Mallorca raising thousands of euro through our shops and fun events.
Thanks to the generosity of the general public throughout Mallorca, who donate items that we can sell in the shops.
